I love looking for life lessons and messages that are intricately woven into seemingly ordinary occurrences. --We went to the park and my son wanted to ride this. But he was scared. So he put his trust in me. Little by little, he got more and more brave. And what did he experience? --I learned a lesson watching him. Even when my heart feels pulled to do something, I often struggle with doubt and fear. For some, jumping in with both feet may work. But not for my son, and not for me. He needed to put his trust in someone who loves him, guards him, and wants only the best for him. That trust allowed him to experience the joy that was on the other side of his fear. --This was a beautiful reminder to me that when I am met with fear and uncertainty, I need to put my trust in my faith if I want to experience the joy and fulfillment that’s available to me. --What about you? Wowza!!! What an adrenaline-pumping mixture of emotions it was to receive the box holding my newly published children’s book. 😳😱🙌I was shocked a book with my name as the author printed on it actually sat inside the box.I felt nervous, even scared, I might be disappointed with the book in that box.And I was thrilled that my book was in the box!!!! ... all within a few seconds! 🤯Once all of my family gathered around me, I let my eager son open it for me 💕.I didn’t know my oldest videotaped it!To my delight, the book is almost perfect!!There’s one small modification I want made on the cover that will push me back another 3 weeks, but it’s something I need to do to make it the book I can proudly and loudly share.Parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare providers, I will soon have a book you can use as a tool to empower the kids in your life to feel SUPER from the inside out! Dinner last night turned into my yummy lunch for today. Started out with shrimp sautéed with Caribbean spices, a mango quinoa salad w/ mango, papaya, red pepper, onion, cilantro, 1.5 fresh squeezed limes, and coconut water! Yes that was my little last minute ingredient and it worked!!! It’s so good! Oh I made plantains, too. Today I tossed the leftovers on a bed of power greens and it’s amazing!! #healthyrecipe #deliciousandnutritious

My biggest motivators: 3) my health, 2) energy, and 1) to be a role model for my kids! I didn’t say a word to either one of them this morning. They did this all on their own after watching me finish up my workout when they got up. This is boy #1.
